On Thursday, Fakhar Zaman became the first batter in Pakistan Super League (PSL) history to score more runs than his opponent.
As Lahore Qalandars elected to bat first, Fakhar made the most of the dropped catches at two (by Asif Ali off Hasan Ali) and 72 (by Hasan Ali off Shadab Khan) to score 115, his second century in the HBL PSL.
Islamabad Joined got no opportunity against an elite Lahore Qalandars bowling as the home side was turned out for 107 in 15.1 overs. Consequently, in the same match, United was unable to surpass the individual score of 115.
It was Lahore Qalandars' second consecutive victory over Islamabad United by a margin of over 100 runs, despite the 119-run loss being the heaviest in HBL PSL history. At the Gaddafi Stadium, the champions had won by 110 runs.
